Hi ,
I've been soldering since I was 10 so maybe it's just down to practice . I usually kill transistors by snapping the legs off rather than burning the things to pieces . Maybe it's a sign to go the purist route , or if you're having problems with veroboard I can send you a load of ceramic tagstrips ;)cheers
