You seem to agree with proaudio5 on a couple of points, which sets me thinking.First, do I deduce correctly that essentially digital formats are better than cassettes?
I would have to learn how to properly operate a tape recorder anyway, so I have nothing against DAT or MiniDisc.Second, both of you suggest, if I understand correctly, that moving a full-scale deck is a better option than having a portable.
Have you done that? As I said in my other reply, I'm trying to consider all reasonable alternatives, but that sounds so weird ...No, I don't need a handheld that runs on batteries. But given my logistical situation I need something I can put in a bag or backpack and carry on my bike.
Admittedly, I've carried loads of books that weighed more than 20lbs, but that seemed different, and moreover books are not fragile.Thanks for any follow-up advice!
