"Well argued"?

"Well argued"? Austin's editorial is sillier than Monty Python's "argument shop" sketch. At least they knew what an argument is:

"An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition."

Somehow I don't think that ridiculous, ungrounded assertions qualify as an argument:

"There are real, audible differences ... but the imaginary differences are far easier to sell."

If you think that is a "well-argued" "fine piece of writing", then I have an imaginary bridge I'd like to sell, located not too far from where you live.
