It would seem that you are so militant and angry that you have no energy left to write a post.I'm very happy to share the audio knowledge I've gained in 40 years as an audiophile.
Listening to a atereo in a dimly lit or dark room is the BEST way to create an illusion of live musicians playing in your listening room."Blind" listening is best for maximum focus on the music (of course a surround sound live music video is even better) with no other sensory inputs unrelated to the music to distract us from the music.
And if you're listening to evaluate component sound quality, blind listening wins again -- you can NEVER be influenced by advertising, "Happy Face" reviews in Stereophile, a salesman telling you what you are supposed to hear, one component playing louder than another, channel balance errors in one or both components ... and there is no pressure to report you can hear A-B differences because "I can't hear a difference" is unacceptable among golden ears.
