The best sounding rectifier diodes I have found are the Cree shottky diodes, and I've tried just about all available. You should also bypass the rectifier diodes , each with a 0.01 uF stacked film cap installed ACROSS the diode from anode to cathode, NOT grounded. Also, rectififer diodes are VERY noisy and shoud be shielded with "T.I. Shield Material"Happy Rectifying !
