You asked whether one has heard positive, audible differences with certain caps?

Not really what I asked. I was more interested in your assertion that some electrolytic caps can improve the sound compared to no electrolytic, or to a good film cap. Sure, many types sound much better than others, not many here would question that. But all electrolytics degrade the sound to a degree. It's just that some circuit topologies require that kind of storage and/or low impedance. I was just mentioning a couple ways to avoid them altogether, that's all.
