This is sold as an XRCD for $30 U.S. If you look at a spectrum analysis of the music, there is almost no energy below 100 Hz at all, and absolutely zilch below 60 Hz. And the freaking thing is mono! This little fact is not mentioned on the xrcd.com web site of course. Now this is outstanding music - really great stuff. And the sound quality is not bad, I admit. But audiophile quality? No way! If you want to get these great Sonny Rollins recordings, you can get the complete Sonny Rollins Prestige 7 disc boxed set from deepdiscountcd.com for $75 and change. This comes with a booklet with history and so forth - like the stuff we used to get in the LP days.
