Because the goober market is insignificant

Only the most dumbest of buyers would actually purchase an audio component based on the results of some manufacturers published DBTs results.

Bose's wave technology radio advertising claim that many listeners will prefer the Bose wave radio to some full stacks of audio components costing 5 times as much when listening to CDs and MP3. Sounds completely reasonable to me given the low resolution of MP3 and the proliferation of poorly setup digital systems in the $3 - $4K price range (just listen to the vinylphiles for proof).

Surely I could scientifically "prove" the Bose wave radio sounds better than systems costing 5 times as much. Fact is it probably does sound better than many systems costing 5 times as much.

So what? What's that got to do with audiophiles who've got their heads on straight? Not a thing.
