I was never booted off that site. I was the first of a long parade of the best and brightest to walk away when it became obvious that any discussion more advanced and complex than the rank beginner level was unwelcome. Those who did not quit were provoked to post sharply critical comments which got them booted. Those who would not be provoked were consigned to a small corner called "the Lab." Discussion revolves around topics such as which of Costco's A/V setups under $200 is the biggest bang for the buck or which end of a screwdriver is the handle. There are actually a few who bravely hang on but for the life of me I can't see why. I think all of the old archives in which there were serious discussions were either expunged or just put off limits so that nobody who wasn't there could ever know there was once a thriving internet community holding lively and interesting debates. To bad but life moves on. Today its just a playpen tyros.
