Let's go over the old story known as Buridan's donkey, apparently made up by his philosophical opponents. Suppose a donkey is placed equidistant between two identical piles of hay. There being no basis on which the donkey could pick one pile over the other, the donkey should starve. But of course, everyone knows that a hungry donkey would simply go to one of the piles of hay and start eating away.I would be fascinated to hear how you determined that one amp was better than another. Just what were the conditions of comparison?
