Well, I can't say that I've ever seen you cite references. Sorry but that's the truth. Still I don't read all of your posts because your 'old boy' manner and rudeness, plus your reluctance to answer the questions asked a lot of the time are simply too off-putting. I wouldn't do a search for your posts without more details of the forum and approximate dates because there'd simply be too many of the agressive, non-substantive posts to wade through in order to find anything substantive.JJ: years ago and much of what I remember of his posts concerned various digital codecs and related issues because that was where he was working and it's not what interests me.
Earl Geddes: I haven't seen him cite references of the sort I requested. I have seen him cite a web page recently in response to a query I asked re tests on the audibility of absolute polarity but the page he cited did not reference journal articles or published papers and failed to provide a lot of the information which I regard as essential and which would automatically be included in the journals and conference proceedings—things such as number of subjects and test music used. Without that kind of information there is no way to assess the value and reliability of the tests reported on the page. I'm not saying they were no good but I am saying that there was no way of knowing whether they were any good or not. I said that in a response to Earl but he failed to reply. Apart from that I've seen him say that DBTs are essential quite a few times but I haven't seen him cite references for that.
Kal Rubinson: I haven't seen a post from Kal citing references on this matter. I'm sorry to have missed it if there is one because I have a lot of time for Kal's reviews and approach, and I would personally regard him as a lot more credible source of information than Earl given Earl's response to me regarding tests on the audibility of absolute polarity.
So, that's my response to your comments on doing homework.
I'll try searching for Kal's post later but I've got a thunderstorm about to hit here and I'm about to shut down and unplug everything for the next few hours.
