And the conclusion is that the RM 200 was not preferable to the more expesive MF amp that is his reference but it was preferable to a couple of more expensive amplifiers that recieved luke warm reviews.
This is a vert typical review conclusion - it's not the "it's a very good amp but I wouldn't buy it because other amps at the same price are better" conclusion I am looking for.Both the Hovland and the SmartDevices reviews would have been much closer to I was looking for - but even then there's adequeste disclaimers throughout the reviews and in the conclusions on the "importance" of system and subjective bias not to mention he makes it clear (at least how I read the reviews) he doesn't like either of them (in one of the reviews he states he'ld be troubled living with either long term).
