Ignorant music lover vs. Educated man of science

iml - This tweak is so incredible I was blown away.

EMS - You're killing me. What proof can you provide. Any measurement?

iml - I heard it. Just try it.

EMS - You really ought to learn something about human perceptions and scientific methods. I'm always amazed at how people fall for marketing hype.

iml - There was a get together and everybody liked what they heard. I found a link that shows measurements indicating a change to the signal.

EMS - Give me a break. The schools are failing us. People are not learning basic science. Those measurements don't prove you will hear a difference. You need a carefully designed DBT to determine if these claimed signal changes are audible.

iml - When it comes to audio I don't subscribe to methods like dbt that prove all well designed amplifiers sound the same. To me there are huge differences.

EMS - You are so lost I don't know where to begin. First you need to give up the misguided notion that humans have perceptual abilities beyond what science can prove. Only then can you be enlightened. This voo-doo crap will lead us back to the dark ages.


Why it doesn't end here I don't know. iml and EMS have different beliefs. So what.
