You did not seem to have a problem pigeon holing Jim and Stereophile in a negative fashion several times, while giving the middle ground to people more in tune with your own thinking (which of course tends provide validate the positions of that group).

I really was interested in the rules you used to categorize people. The labels we have tossed about subjectivist, objectivist, etc. are so divisive and vague. Providing some definition we could all agree upon would perhaps show that everyone is at times both.

For instance, Stereophile is hardly a objectivist publication. I know you disagree, but Sam T. articles are purely subjective. Or how about the fairly large number of times that the reviewer liked components, but then John found they did not measure well. Both the subjective view of the reviewer was reported, as well as the objective measurement. Sometimes there was an attempt to reconcile why both were true, other times it was clear it was just the SUBJECTIVE taste of the reviewer coming into play.

Ok, you (and others) are upset with IC article and dismissing the IC out of hand. I can understand your point, and to some degree I sympathize. However, Jim's position is reasonable given the rather outlandish claims for the IC. Also, let's not forget there are audio professionals and audiophiles that have NOT heard anything.

Speaking for myself as a consumer, and looking at Machina Dynamica product line, the company is suspect. Rocks in a jar placed in random locations in your room, a chip that physically changes CDs with no power source placed outside the CD player, and now the Clock placed anywhere in your house? Links on the website to white papers that only vaguely tie back to the product under discussion. Sorry, my mind is not open enough to part with my cash to prove to myself what seems obvious. Frankly, they all seem like bad jokes with Geoff laughing his way to the bank.
