It seems kind of strange to me for anyone to actually hate a machine. Especially one which doesn't harm anyone. A lot of people enjoyed music from these speakers, enough to make them a very successful product. Maybe that's what really bothers some people who don't like them. I enjoyed mine for their unique qualities for quite a few years when their shortcomings were comparable to that of many others of their best competition but put them away for decades when I felt better products were out there. Rather than sell them I decided to try to understand them better and see what I could do to overcome their limitations. And I feel that after the 2 1/2 years effort I invested, I have done just that and very successfully. I would not for example trade them for the Martin Logan Summits I heard last winter. It looks like I have years of additional enjoyment to get out of them to look forward to. And I would buy more pairs to modify now that I know how given their market price which reflects the fact that relatively few people want them or care to figure out how do what I did with them.
