And while there is protectionism in the US, it pales compared to European and Asian countries. Try to spot a typical US or other foreign car in Tokyo or Soeul. Sure, you'll find a few now and then, but not easily. Spain too for that matter - not a lot of Japanese cars there. Oy vey.I suggest you that you keep to the advice that you gave RGA, attempting to argue that protectionism in the US pales in the light of that of Europe is a joke. In the final analysis, many countries attempt to use protectionism to gain comparative advantages whilst hypocritcally criticising others when others use the same yardstick to gain debatable advantages in other areas.
