Re: Sweetness VS Load Lines

Plate resistance is 100H choke and since it's
directly coupled to the grid the load impedance
is near infinite impedance.
That gives me a fairly horizontal load line.

I remember them and they were
definitely food for thought.

Now who said "high levels" - not me.
EL84s are known for their sound but
many have found them too syruppy which
I suspect is too much 2nd harmonics.
Now to get back to my original question 8^(
Does a "horizontal" load line reduce
the 2nd harmonics distortion?

Leaving aside if:
sweetness does/doesn't equal 2nd H levels
I can/can't get a horizontal load line

This happens on AA, not just you,
everyone gets on their soapbox to profess
their "truth" and don't answer the question.
Maybe nobody knows the answer - I don't know -
but it's frustrating sometimes.
Now I'LL get off my SOAPBOX 8^D
