I didn't say they weren't businessmen. I challenged your statement that transferring money to their pocket was their only goal.

"Good salesmen" you say? I didn't meet one "good" saleman at CES. In fact, I don't recall ever meeting a "good" high end salesman in the past 30 years. From my experience, most high end people love to design and solder. But few, if any, could sell ice cream in Phoenix in the middle of July.

That's part of the reason, in my opinion, that high end audio has never come close to achieving the level of financial success that the high end in other consumer areas often achieves.

The claim that high end manufacturers use exotic cables because that's what they believe their customers expect is as good a myth as any the so-called "yeasayers" have been able to dream up.
