["1) I'm not throwing my hard earned $$$$$ away buying components that provide improvements that don't exist!"]Quite frankly, who does? Anyone in your group categories or the owners of the Pioneer or Krell in your example?
["2) When I finally get that new audio component home, if I like what I hear and that is based on it sounding like live unamplified music to me, if it makes me tap my foot and if it brings a smile to my face, what else really matters?"]
It's curious that one of your guidelines is in the form of a question. This is where we began.
Taken literally, I'd guess: Realiable sources, three main catagories of PHP imates, Sub vs Obj types of arguments, and a myriad of reasons you cannot even think of as well as to why defending your beliefs with someone here [PHP] is often a dead end street as well.
Can't you bring yourself to say, 'nothing else really matters'?
