Louder is better, at least in the ear of the beholder. The masses have spoken on this subject, loudly if not necessarily clearly.

So far, the RE's I know haven't even tried these types of things. They consider these items too far over the edge. I may try and talk them into trying one or two just to test your theory which, incidentally, my personal experience corroborates. Not being of a scientific persuasion, I can forgive the things that sound different while "violating" science but the things that seem to make no sonic difference have no place in my system. Granted, I do not try certain things, just because they are too bizarre such as the pebbles. If they "work" for someone else, great.
