In general, I agree that the use of such language doesn't always or even usually reflect an 'absolute truth' view on the part of the poster. I was simply struck by the fact that even in a post like his where it was a fairly well-reasoned presentation, it would be 'very easy' to quote and take issue with some of the statements. The fact that it happens 'all the time' made it a point worth making, I guess.
And I agree that constantly sprinkling 'IMHO' everywhere is a pain, which is why it frequently doesn't get done.I'm using the Yorkville U15's. They need a bit of tweaking and massaging to be good home speakers, but I'm really very happy with them. Direct radiator 15" midbass so not true horns, but IMHO Tom's Unity concept arrangement delivers everything I was hoping for. (Not to say I'm not going to try to make them better, though :-))
