I see, Goedel's approach works for formal systems, meaning any system that can be completely described by finite sequences of letters and axiomatic rules. These sequences are transformed into numbers (Goedelization) and then one can state properties on these equivalent numbers using arithmetics.

Now I look like a nerd :-)
