Thanks Trufi. I am a scientist and I know the limitations of science. In the high-end, there are phenomena that we cannot explain yet and, clearly, there are also placebo effects. A lot of equipment is not a placebo effect and maybe one day science will explain why it works. What I hate is pseudo-scientific arguments to prove a skepticism against these phenomena. Many trained people observe these phenomena, so they exist! In a certain sense, we are like wine tasters that can appreciate many nuances.
Classical musicians devote so much effort as well to choose the suitable instruments. Why cannot we reproduce yet a Stradivari with a scientific approach? Science is based on measuring quantities whereas music is also art and quality, which is more difficult to measure.
BTW, I got the first post for this forum in 2007 :-)
Cheers
Roberto
