Hi Kerr,First the Objectivists had the Violinists sit in the exact same location, afterall the postioning of speakers effects the sound so the same thing holds true of musicians. Next they matched the level output of each violinists output to within .01dB. That of course required that the 2 violinists play into a MIC, so the levels could be matched!
Then after measuring the output and matching the level, they added an ABX box so the DBT would provide a valid test. Everyone knows no DBT is valid sans an ABX box. This in turn was played through a Citation 11 preamp and QSC poweramp and then output into a pair of AR-2 speakers. Guess what!!!! It's was proven via these DBTs that a "priceless" Stradivarius violin is indistinguishable from a Genial 2-Nitro' Beginner/School violin, provided of course both violins were "well-made", "well-designed", or "properly-designed!"
Undeniable proof via level matching and a DBT proves there no distinguishable differences in violins! All the "golden ear" musicians had been fooling themselves all this time afterall. So sell those Stradivarius' buy a Genial and laugh all the way to the bank...
