And I suspect that the best silicon rectifiers are not hexfred or shottkys - not for audio anyway. But since many like them, it may just be my preference to use plane Jane SS rectifiers over the "new" breed types.For HT, I am using Silicons plainly for the fact that I am running them at 500V for my PP. For my GM70 project I need 1000V which also restrict my use of tube rectification. But for my 300B monos, I intend to use tube rectification.
