I got a UF type and it sounded better then the 1n it replaced i term of cleaner back ground and more relax but extended high. Still got to compare tube vs silicon diode but I think their main diff could be in the whole rail instead of just the diode themselve... Each cud be made to sound good, I suspect!tks and best rgds
