My two (bi-amping) rebuilt LEAK St20's have ONE of their PSU caps* where the rectifier Octal tube was!?!* [3 or 4 of 470uf 400 volt Nichicons, bypassed with ladders of WIMA MKS and MKP's, ;-)!
IIRC one or two of mine being paralleled. The 4 rectifiers are soft-recovery jobs of 'TPC sells and recommends type' but bought from Taiwan direk't.
Would the original power trannies cope, with that big a choke as well?
OTOH?? would the choke help them cope via smoothing AND could I get rid of all them lossy R's too?
How much power might I lose. in dbw? If any?
