I've often wondered the same thing. How could something that's not in the signal path have so danged much influence on the sound? Lately though, I've come to the realization that virtually everything in the power supply chain from the wall socket to the rectifier has influence on the sound. I have no idea why, but it does. Maybe GI-GO is the simplest explanation for this?
