In my experience, improving power supply regulation, noise, and isolation generally results in improved sound. It's obviously a diminishing returns thing, but every time I work to make the PS better, I get a sonic improvement (albeit smaller and smaller). Unfortunately, I haven't found any limit where it stops improving. I guess that's why people go to batteries.The trick is obviously deciding when it's "good enough".....
