Good point Dan.So it's up to each designer to weigh the relative importance of isolation vs. radiated field for a given design.
As usual, there isn't one right answer.
Sean's point is that, for ultimate performance, it is easier to deal with the radiated field than with the isolation issues, so he prefers not to use toroids.
