The obvious interpretation is to illustrate that he doesn't have good sense in weeding out products that won't help the sound. Perfectly legitimate point, if the facts are correct. I have neither the time nor the inclination to follow up the history between Caymus and Mr. Kafton.One of my friends, a dealer, doesn't either. A very fine fellow in many ways, carries good equipment and knows good speakers, but he still believes in special cables, that some expensive CDPs or DACs sound so much better than other high fidelity ones, etc., all based on sighted listening and, I think, reinforced by talking to distributors, customers , and reading superaudiophile mags. He doesn't sell expensive wires to me, though he has tried.
