If one wished to be taken seriously by most people, when they say they “found a vitamin which stops death, have a carburetor which gives 200MPG on a normal car, have discovered an unlimited form of free energy and such, you must supply some evidence.
More rigorously, in Science, when someone proposes a theory which is in opposition to what was currently accepted, one must present significant proof of same being true and the current view not.

It would seem then that “if” the proposition of “these sounds” being present was to be taken seriously, some slight evidence or proof of there existence should accompany it.
This is not the case, rather the people who wish to think this, being largely unfamiliar with acoustic / electronic measurements say, well, its something that normal measurements can’t detect and EVERYONE in electronics and audio has ALWAYS missed them entirely..
I wonder why then are they referred to as “these frequencies” when that aspect of the signal can be easily examined in great detail.

Alternately, when one does measure some “euphonic” gear (like many popular SET amps) with conventional techniques, they suggest significantly more obvious non-linearities than other electronics.
The idea that something could be significantly more non-linear but still sound better says than something perfectly linear to one group, that the measurements are “wrong”.
To the other group, the properties of the various non linearity’s are simply what governs the change in “sound” between the amplifier input signal and the amplifier output signal.

To some people these non-linearities “remind” them of musical content, being harmonically related.
When you play program material that is not musical, not harmonic, then these distortions are not “good” and don’t make it sound more real. Many Euphonic types trim there musical taste to match the things there system does well, a specific even “desirable” coloration tends to help some music and hurt others.
For example, the subwoofer or woofer that does the “best” job producing a kick drum, is also usually the one with the greatest harmonic distortion. It is so because the harmonics fill in the missing hf energy in the drum the woofer doesn’t produce. Conversely, the same test IN a system shows the more distorted woofer having a muddy sound as the distortion is not actually part of the input signal.

“Special things” like these knobs, ultra power cords etc work too but in a different way, like a gas line magnetizer.
I am sure you have seen these magnetic things you clip around your gas line, that “improve” gas mileage.
There are two positions on this just like here.

There are those who say they have them and after installing it and after keeping close track, actually got 14% better gas mileage, clearly it works, you can’t convince me it doesn’t!!!

There are those that say, chemically speaking, the magnet can’t do anything to the gasoline, therefor it can’t work as described.

Which side is right?? Both sort of.

The chemists are right, the gas line magnet can’t effect the energy release in the gasoline in any way at all.
The drivers are right, they did get better gas mileage after installing it.

The drivers had “taken an action” that had a “desired result”, having “invested time, effort and money”, made an emotional investment. A simple, well known psychological principal.
Subconsciously, they were driving more conservatively, hence got better gas mileage.

You buy and install some $500 knobs, magic wire, miracle doodads and you have a very strong compulsion to “hear” the effect they made AND unlike the magnet, there is no way to even track your mileage.
Imagine how reassuring it would be to hear that your real expensive amplifier really does sound different.
Lastly, lets not forget loudspeakers are orders of magnitude more flawed than electronics. The judgement
