I've 500 feet of #12 wire in 2 colors...after I spiral together my speaker runs, a 150 footer and a 100 footer, I'll use some of the remaining 250 feet for braiding tests..and L/C comparisons...given enough data points, I'll be able to derive a nomograph for # of braid vs L/C measurements for this specific insulation/guage combo.

Sounds cool. The braiding seems to be effective in neutralizing mutual inductance, and not too hard to do. Plus, it holds itself together and looks sort of trick, too:) Btw, being a cheapskate, I formed the ring lugs with this cable right out of the solid core conductors themselves, soldered together with 4% silver solder and filed to dimension. Btw, one reason I chose the RG type cable to make this out of, besides the high electrical quality of the insulation, of course, was that it was very well bonded to the center conductor, making it unlikely that surface oxidation would ever be a problem.
