What I think most of us forget is that the cable is only one leg of a triangle; the other two are the boxes it connects. That leaves us to consider input and output impedance, and grounding. In the case of speaker cables we have the reactance of the cable in series and across the loudspeaker. Just looking at cable is incomplete as I see it. However; To infer that RLC measirements are NOT important defies all that is presently known, and yes I do think RLC measurements are important. Hope this helps.
