..the differences between a statically pressed versus a dynamically laser burned disc, the differences in reflectivity and refractivity between the various materials of the different discs, and any differences in the amount of error correction needed, all of which tend to add their own unique signatures to the jitter spectrum of the particular player used at the moment.
