88.2kHz and higher is what makes PCM high resolution. 48kHz still sounds digital, more strident and closed-in. It doesn't matter whither it is from a DVD-Audio or SACD 48kHz will not do!You can easily hear the improvement of 192kHz over 96kHz, just compare the 2 sides of a Classic Records DVD-Audio.
I'm sorry Frank but you have set your standards too low.
