There's one spec you can look for in selecting trannies that you might otherwise overlook:

HiPot voltage. Apparently, higher voltage implies lower capacitive coupling between windings, which implies less transmission of HF garbage through the transformer. Ideally, you want the transformer to pass 50/60Hz and nothing else. I'll see if I can dig up one of the Audio Amateur articles that explains this mechanism in more detail....

As an example, I've been using the Signal 14A split-bobbin transformers, which use a split-bobbin construction and have a 4kV Hipot rating.

Just one more thing to think about.
