In a grounded systems such as AC power supply, the system noise (as a whole) can be routed "away" to ground. But for battery operated systems, the system noise don't have any where to go-but thru the battery internally :)Nonsense. It goes to ground in a battery operated system as well. You seem to have some misconception as to what "ground" is.
