FYI, the cups resonate at 6, 15, 19, 20, 30 kHz. At 6 and 15 one could think that, sufficient SPL provided, there might be some effect. But at 19, 20, 30 k???
I think that these cups play in exactly the same league as does the intelligent chip. The very day someone is able to provide real evidence that they work, well, then maybe that very day the textbooks have to be rewritten.
