I also liked the Avant Garde Duos but for different reasons. They sounded remarkably uncolored and had scale and presence like I've never heard. They just didn't sound as coherent as the Sound Labs - more like individual pieces making up a whole rather than just a whole. That might sound dumb but that's the best way I can describe it. Everyone gets to pick their tradeoffs and I could live happily with either one but the Sound Labs get the nod in my case.
