If you are E-Stat, you need to buy gigantic electrostatic dressing screens, exotic wires, vacuum tube amps, vinyl phonograph records, moving coil cartridges, and every other mantra audiophiles dream of after reading reams of ad copy and piles of magazines. That's what E-Stat did. Take out another mortgage on your house if you have to.If you are Soundmind, what you really need to get started is season tickets to the Symphony, Opera, Ballet, a visit to a church organ and choral concert, take piano or violin lessons, play in an orchestra. In short, learn what actual unamplified music and musical instruments sound like and then go out and shop...use your ears, don't pay attention to what people who get paid to write ads and reviews have to say. And if that doesn't work, learn how to build your own. And that's what I did.
