Re: Speaking of tone...

Charles,

"I think Duane Allman had a great tone. Of course, Jimi had
the farthest out there ones around. But for pure tone, I
don't think anybody could beat Peter Green."

I think Eric Johnson has great tone as well.

What CD would you recommend I purchase of Peter Green's ?
Wasn't Peter Green in early Fleetwood Mac ?

"But your tone isn't so great."

I'm open to suggestions and willing to listen to specifics
on how my tone could be better.

"The tone I'm hearing from you is that you have already made
up your mind."

I asked you for specifics on comparing Klipsch horns to
tower speakers with high quality drivers. I did not get
any answer. Please see below.

"I don't get the sense that you're looking for answers, only
for people to confirm your pre-existing conclusions."

Well, you did confirm my pre-existing conclusion that one
needs a lot of power to get the SPL's to drive a
conventional speaker. :>) If you tell me that Klipsch horns
can deliver the high quality I have heard from tower
speakers with high quality drivers, then I would be more than
happy to take some time and go listen to them. This seems to
me to be a pretty open stance. Do you agree or disagree ?

"And if they disagree, it seems like you're just going to
write them off instead of trying to learn something or
engage in a meaningful conversation. So why bother to ask
these questions?"

I note you used the words "it seems like". Have I actually
done that in this response to you or in any response to you ?
It seems to me that you are making some assumptions here that
do not have a basis in fact. I hope you are not going to make
other assumptions based on things like my last name, etc. :>)

Look forward to some specific suggestions from both you and
John as well as some specific answers to the questions I
have already asked in my other posts.
