I think Duane Allman had a great tone. Of course, Jimi had the farthest out there ones around. But for pure tone, I don't think anybody could beat Peter Green.But your tone isn't so great. The tone I'm hearing from you is that you have already made up your mind. When you ask for opinions, I don't get the sense that you're looking for answers, only for people to confirm your pre-existing conclusions. And if they disagree, it seems like you're just going to write them off instead of trying to learn something or engage in a meaningful conversation. So why bother to ask these questions?
