I have a Passive Controller and Metal Drivers. Seems like Maggies and Metal drivers are really sensitive to changes. The Passive adds to the sensitivity to changes I think.Silver and Copper are really easily discernable.
I have been trying several different geometries, gauges and connectors. The more you have to work with the more you can notice changes.
Also I notice that certain IC's work better or act differently than others in particular area's. Gauges seem to bring out more Bass if they are samller.Example 20AWG adds more Bass emphasis.
Connectors are truely horrific until broken in. I am working on getting a non-metallic design.
Just what I am experiencing.YMMV
