Hi Lew,

Thanx for the input and results. This may be a very interesting tweak if there turns out to be a difference between 200K and 600K. I now remember that I had a casual conversation with Bill Layer a few years ago and he did say to put a 600 ohm resister across pins 2 and 3 of the XLR as opposed to changing the grid resistors. I never got around to doing it and I had forgotten about it until you brought it up. Please, let us know what happens.
