Lew, I know that audiophiles distrust science but that is because marketers have mis-used science to sell us a "load of goods" (THD and other specs that do not tells us how a system will sound, CD "perfect sound forever" etc...).That does not negate science and good theory. The basics of vacuum tube operation are well understood and I have found that when followed the result is always better (lower distortion) sound.
