So what you're saying is that you were in an experiment where a switch was flipped ten times that made no change to the signal, and yet you and a friend were able to hear the differences reliably. And you're also saying you hear the difference every time when you try the experiment yourself at home.
The only logical conclusion is that you're fooling yourself.
How do you know what the "correct" phase is on your records? Is it printed on the label?
Here's a thought experiment for you. I take one hundred boxes. Inside each box I randomly place either a white or a black ball. In all other respects the balls are identical. I then seal the boxes so the color of the ball inside cannot be seen. I number each box and place them all on a table. Next to the table I place a trash bin. I put a pencil and a piece of paper on the table. I bring in an experimental subject and ask him to examine the boxes one by one and record on the paper what color ball is inside. After examining each box, he is to place it in the garbage bin. When he is done, he is to place the paper in the bin. At the end of the experiment, I remove the garbage bin without examining the paper or opening any of the boxes. I take the bin and its contents to an incinerator and burn them to featureless ash.
The next day, the experimental subject goes on the Oprah show, claiming that experimental testing proves he is a psychic. He becomes famous, goes on national tour, earns buckets of money and retires in a 10,000 sq. ft. McMansion in an Arizona "lakeside community".
Such is the culture we live in.
