Hi.Knowing very well volume pot is a source of noises, damaged or what not, & knowing grid current flowing through the pot since no DC blocking cap is present, why should we make the situation more vulnerable by adding a battery to the grid circuit? Don't neglect this a voltage gain front stage. Minute noises can be magnified to be audible. Your mind is as clear as mud, too.
Like you were plugging your finger into the L line of the wall socket, & told everybody no fear because you were wearing a pair of rubber sneakers, right?
I know clearly how a common mode choke is used to remove common mode
NOISES, repeat, noises in AC power lines. the topic we were discussing.Yet some sober-minded "experts" get confused CM noises with common mode SIGNALS, by providing references of common mode & differential mode signals concepts written by a manufacturer of LAN & telecom interface devices. You don't ask help from a plumber for using lead solders, correct?
We were talking about power line filteres using CM chokes to remove EMI/RFI power line noises, not common mode/differential signals in data transmission. Don't you know?
So straight to the point: what is the theory of common mode choke using EMI/RFI line filter? When I asked for an apple, & someone here gave me an orange - providing a wrong reference due to one's wrong concept.
