Thats true about some RCA trannys

It seems many of the RCA amps were made in the days of optical sound track and I have one pair that uses 4 6l6g tubes and is rated to 30 watts and a frequency response os 50 to like 10000.THe sound tracks of the day were lucky to hit 10k but I can sweep it to about 18khz because I did open the feedback loop and Im using a wider bandwidth input transformer for the phase splitter.
The output trans seems light even tho its potted and being it has a 500ohm and a 7.5 ohm tap in the mix it seems it could made better and larger. The RCA 807 amp I have is much heftier but still the output trans is small by comparison.
The 6146 amps I have are about the most conventional as far as being modern and the transformers are good size and the amps can sound pretty good with modifications.
