I'm glad to see you write that. I appreciate your input and realize the resonance/inductance point.I've been out of engineering for nearly 20 years, but can still understand technical points and even crunch an occasional number if needed.
I suppose I was looking for something which we don't have and may not even apply to my anecdotal experiences if we did. The idea of describing all the aspects of sound with performance specifications is rather ambitious. The guy on the street typically believes wire, electronics and CD players are "so good, you can't hear it." To which, I would think (about this person's wire, electronics or CD player) "I'd rather NOT hear it."
